Announcement:
HMBIs Second "Simple Selling of HUD
Homes" was again a huge success!
The second industry training seminar "Simple Selling of
HUD Homes" was held Thursday, November 11, 2004, at the
Red Lion Hotel in Hillsboro Oregon. The HMBI industry training
is free and last for approximately three and one half hours.
Approximately 200 people attended consisting of; Brokers, Investors,
Homes Inspectors, and closing Companies.
IMPORTANT TOPICS: Question Does the Designated Broker
need to be present at the home inspection? (The question was
raised due to how the inspection addendum is worded) Answer
No. The Designated Broker is signing off on the broker
being present at the time of the inspection. Question
Do we earn Continuing Education Credit for the Seminar? Answer
Yes. You may obtain three credit hours with your Designated
Brokers approval. Question How do we handle the transistion
phase with Golden Feather? Answer Please be aware that
both HMBI and Golden Feather currently have properties listed
for sale. HMBI is scheduled to handle full management and marketing
responsibilities for HUD in the near future. During this time
please view both our web site and Golden Feathers web
site to locate HUD Homes for sale. You must follow the appropriate
website bidding guidelines according to which site the property
was listed on.
Attendees to HMBIs "Simple Selling
of HUD Homes" training seminar obtained answers to their
questions such as where to find properties, how to electronically
bid, what is a property condition report, and what are the
required documents to submit with a purchase contract.
HMBIs Community and Government Affairs Department and
